The main goal of this research is to contribute, though the assessment of the impact of main international structural changes and integration processes, towards a consequent change and adjustments of the Croatian economy, especially at macro and microeconomic performance levels (enterprise sector, human capital, technological progress, science, innovation, trade, industry, finance etc.).

Partnership for Peace (PfP) Consortium of Defense Academies and Security Studies Institutes

The Department is member of the Partnership for Peace (PfP) Consortium of Defense Academies and Security Studies Institutes, an international organization dedicated to strengthening defense and military education and research through enhanced institutional and national cooperation.

EU-CONSENT Research Consortium

IMO is member of the EU-CONSENT Research Consortium which operates as a Network of Excellence for joint research and teaching that addresses questions of the mutual reinforcing effects of the deepening and widening of the EU It involves 48 institutional partners, including 25 universities, as well as approximately 200 researchers and about 80 Ph.D. candidates from 22 EU member states and three candidate countries: Bulgaria, Croatia and Turkey.

Enterprise Policy Performance Assessment Reports on Croatia

The Department is lead local partner for the EPPA Reports on Croatia, prepared jointly with the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), in consultation with and with support from the EC.

Globalisation and Economic Success – Policy options for Africa

The Department takes part in the 2005-2007 project entitled Globalisation and Economic Success – Policy options for Africa, organised and sponsored by the Brenthurst Foundation (South Africa), in collaboration with the Institute for Defence and Strategic Studies (Nanyang Technological University, Singapure), the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung, and the Egiptian Ministry of Investment.
