Description of project
IMO was in charge of organizing in total four trainings each per twenty participants. Two three-day trainings for project preparation and two three-day trainings for contract management were organised.
Procurement and contract management:
1st and 2nd training (for 20 people each): 28 - 30 May, 2007 in Zagreb
Project preparation:
3rd and 4th training (for 20 people each): 19 – 21 June, in Zagreb.
The key classification criteria for the participants where:
- Equal coverage of all environmental components,
- Inclusion of all relevant stakeholders (national level and county level)
- In addition to the management (heads of departments), the experts working on daily basis on environmental issues are included as well as, wherever it was possible, junior assistants who are just starting their carriers.
The participants of the trainings were required to have the basic knowledge of the English language.
Type of services provided
The trainers, who were in charge of all the learning activities (lecturing, instructing, demonstrating etc), were also supposed to take on other roles in connection with the training:
- Creating a fruitful learning environment
- Supervising
- Mentoring
- Coaching
- Giving individual guidance
- Encouraging learners to work and study
