Institute for International Relations

The Department is devoted to interdisciplinary scientific research and analysis in the field of sustainable development, environment, regional and local policy and good governance. Special attention is given to planning, implementing and monitoring of economic, social and environmental policies to support local, regional and national development. The researchers are members of expert teams of EU funded projects (CARDS, PHARE, ISPA, IPA), projects financed by the World Bank, UNDP and other international organisations. These projects are related to institutional strengthening in the field of environmental and nature protection, climate changes, regional development and public administration reform in relevant sectors.
