Project Description
The purpose of the project was to support and open up the processes of NATO accession to the societies of A3 countries (Albania, Croatia, Macedonia) and to the region at large and to stimulate the non-for-profit sector in A3 countries to take relevant responsibilities and to be active partners of governments in the Euro-Atlantic accession processes.

Main project activities and results
- Working in partnership with the governments of Albania, Croatia and Macedonia in support of their international efforts to increase the visibility of reform efforts and gain support for NATO membership
- Supporting and coordinating the efforts of civil society in the region in cooperation with governments and national and international organizations
- Coordinating nationally a framework of action for non-governmental organisations supporting the accession to structures
- Organising three conferences in Tirana, Zagreb and Skopje with participation of experts on respective issues, providing a comprehensive appraisal of the Euro-Atlantic accession processes
- Organising a regional conference in Podgorica, with the participation of representatives of civil society and experts from A3 countries as well as from the new Partnership for Peace members in the region (Serbia, Montenegro and Bosnia-Herzegovina) and from Kosovo - sharing the Adriatic Charter countries experiences of democratic reforms, security transformation and regional cooperation, and promoting the role of civil society in the processes of Euro-Atlantic accession
