Current Research Programme (since 2007)

The current research programme is entitled Promotion of Cultural Identities and the Process of Croatian Integration into the European Union. It encompasses four projects implemented by the Department for Culture and Communication itself, the Faculty of Philosophy Rijeka and the Faculty of Philosophy Zagreb. The list of projects included in the programme:

Cultural Diversity, Intercultural Communication and Digital Culture

The outset of the project hypothesis is: cultural diversity, intercultural communication and the rapid development of digital culture are resources leading towards knowledge societies. This is to be proven scientifically by researching the different characteristics of their interconnection / interrelation. Monitoring and defining the development and the use and impact of digital culture in the context of cultural diversity and intercultural communication, will provide new insight into their interdependence.
